Context/Scope: The Global HR Operations (GHRO)/Employee Experience Team is part of Diageo Business Services, providing HR and Learning Admin/Operations support to 23,000 employees in 70+ countries, worldwide and about 8,000 extended enterprise leaners. This role operates across multiple markets, partnering with Global Reward to deliver a structured benchmarking programme. The role supports data integrity within Workday, ensures alignment to governance standards, and enables evidence-based decision-making through analytics and insight.
Purpose of Role About the role: As a Business Analyst, you act as the bridge between Reward and technical teams, translating business goals into clear requirements. You collaborate with Process Excellence Leads, cross-functional teams, and developers to deliver high-quality solutions across complex processes and systems. You lead and contribute to project and scrum meetings, guide other analysts, and support initiatives through development, testing, and implementation. You identify dependencies across change programmes to maximise business benefits and work iteratively with stakeholders and developers to resolve issues and enhance end-to-end processes. a) Top Accountabilities Role Responsibilities: · Partner with Process Excellence Leads, Global Process Owners, and external teams to deliver simple, secure, end-to-end People processes that enhance employee experience. · Lead workshops and discussions to gather and define business and user requirements for complex projects. · Translate needs into clear, detailed requirements aligned to standard processes. · Lead full project lifecycle activities: requirements, design, testing, and implementation. · Document end-to-end processes and create supporting SOPs. · Build strong senior stakeholder relationships across business and technical teams. · Analyse complex information to develop practical solutions. · Communicate requirements and acceptance criteria clearly to ensure alignment. · Understand process impacts and align projects to broader departmental strategy. b) Qualifications and Experience Required · Experience of working in a large digital organisation, or shown understanding of large digital organisations operate in the context of this role. · 6 to 12 years experience in Workday HCM including Reward · Previous experience of working across senior technical and business collaborators ensuring the understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria is aligned. · Facilitation skills with the ability to find common ground between the technical and non-technical. · Lean/6 Sigma experience: Ability to solve problems, diagnose issues and develop appropriate solutions · Excellent collaborator engagement skills. · Experience of problem solving and working with others to deliver at pace. · Experience making decisions within agreed parameters. · Superb communication skills. c) Additional Requirement · Ideally 2+ years of experience working as part of a multinational HR Shared Services organisation with exposure to different global markets. · Ideally 2+ years of experience working within a change governance process or framework, being responsible for documentation or presenting technology/process changes. · Ideally familiar with the Service Now platform.
