Description:

Key Accountabilities

 

1. Transition Planning & Governance

- Act as a point of contact for transition of all the applications in Corp Functions
- Adhere to the established transition governance, reporting mechanisms, and risk management frameworks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams — Providers, 3rd Party vendors, and client stakeholders — to align on the scope, timelines, and success criteria.
- Maintain a Transition Management Plan (TMP) including milestones, RACI, and communication structures.

2. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

- Engage with multiple internal teams and external vendors across different time zones to align on deliverables and dependencies.
- Manage vendor contracts and SLAs during transition ensuring accountability and quality outcomes.
- Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all transition-related communications with leadership, clients, and support functions.

3. Knowledge Transfer & Handover

- Track the Knowledge Transition (KT) plan for each application.
- Ensure thorough documentation, shadowing, reverse shadowing, and sign-offs for BAU readiness.
- Validate operational readiness of support teams post-transition.

- Ensure availability of Diageo teams for the KT sessions

 

4. Risk, Issue & Change Management

- Identify transition risks early and implement mitigation plans.
- Maintain risk and issue registers; ensure timely escalation and resolution.
- Manage change control for any scope, timeline, or resource deviations.

5. Reporting & Performance Tracking

- Provide weekly executive summaries, dashboards, and progress updates.
- Track and report key transition KPIs: schedule adherence, KT completion rate, issue closure time, and early-life support stability metrics.

•Plans, Organises & Communicates: Develops the project approach and impacts from a broad business perspective and from a place of high ambiguity. Creates clarity for business stakeholders on what needs to be delivered and how. Proactively anticipates impacts of the current and future project phases, thinks through issues in advance, anticipates and resolves before issues develop. Able to craft the next phase of the plan while still bringing clarity to stakeholders and project members on the current phase.

•Owns end to end project delivery: Works across BDS and the markets/functions to drive delivery. Manages multiple projects and/or work streams and owns the integration across these different areas. Holds project team and stakeholders to accountand can have tough conversations in a positive way

•Accountable for a programme with rigorous governance: Establishes at the outset clear & robust governance models and uses that governance to drive decisions & outcomes, drive engagement and management ofstakeholders. Recognises the strategic contribution of the project to Diageo’s overall Productivity agenda and establishes governance appropriate to this strategic impact.

•Delivers business outcomes: Partners with stakeholders to define the business outcome and create a plan to deliver those outcomes. Demonstrates sophisticated communication skills to ensure everyone understand the agenda and is clear on what they need to do to deliver against it. Resilient and resourceful, can problem solve and does not let problems stop them-they figure out a way to move forward

•Proven Project Manager experience in a multinational environment

•Experience of delivering strategic and change projects within the functional area of the portfolio they lead

•Excellent pan cultural impact and influencing skills

Proven experience managing multi-technology, multi-vendor transitions across global locations.
- Strong understanding of application support models, SDLC, and ITIL processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle time zone / culture diversity and coordinate globally distributed teams.
- Experience with transition tools, trackers, and collaboration platforms (e.g., MS Project, Service Now, Power BI).
