About the role:
The role of Logistics Analyst will intersect with all of the other functions within CS&S as well as many departments across greater NA Supply. The primary objective of the role is to facilitate the smooth performance of the transportation link in Diageo’s supply chain. Key to achieving this objective is establishment of effective relationships with our key partners. These partners include third party logistics providers, Diageo CS&S, Commercial colleagues and the Innovation & Conversion teams.
About the team:
Diageo’s supply chain is dynamic. Our transportation operations need to be flexible and forward-thinking in order to provide effective support to the business. The Logistics Analyst role is accountable for working with our logistics providers to ensure they adapt to Diageo’s changing business needs. This role is one of four Logistics Analysts positions. The coordinator workload is balanced across the business units. Each coordinator will have tactical responsibility for a sub set of Diageo’s transportation operations.
While many of our transportation operations are well established, there is no shortage of opportunities to improve our cost base and service levels. As such, the Logistics Analyst will also become involved in various projects designed to drive continuous improvement.
Purpose of Role:
To provide tactical operations and business support to Diageo’s third party and plant logistics operations while focusing on achieving NA Supply’s cost and service goals.
Role Responsibilities:
The role of Logistics Analyst will be expected to provide transportation input and support for Logistics and NA Supply operations and initiatives.
Key Outputs/Deliverables:
Support seamless execution of Diageo’s transportation operations
Support delivery of Transportation’s financial and service targets
Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with Diageo’s transportation partners
Support the successful delivery of Diageo initiatives and projects which impact the transportation function
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to speak conversational Spanish is preferred but not required.
Financial Responsibility:
Coordinate invoice payment of transportation vendor
Help develop AOP
Track transportation expenses vs. AOP
Provide costing estimates to other Diageo departments
Perform various cost analyses
Management Responsibility:
This position reports to the Manager of Transportation Operations
This position will actively handle 3rd party transportation suppliers
This position has no direct reports
