Magnit Direct Sourcing is a service offered by Magnit Global that provides top talent directly to industry leading clients who have flexible temporary assignments that work on a variety of projects and unlock opportunities for exciting work.  As a temporary contractor, you’ll be employed by our Managed Service Provider, Magnit Global, who manages most of our temporary contract hiring.  You will not be employed by Diageo.

About the Role: 

The Regional Enterprise Architect shapes and guides the regional and market technology strategies and landscapes for North America, aligning them with global standards and local business objectives.  

 

About the Team: 

Within D&T, Diageo has a Global Architecture team which is a trusted and strategic partner to our business to create new digital experiences fueled by connected data. We create the vision and strategic roadmaps for transforming our business performance through technology, whilst also driving consistency of standards and simplifying our landscape. 

 

Purpose of the Role: 

To engage with business and technology stakeholders to develop holistic plans for effective business solutions which are fueled by connected data. 

 

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Defining and driving the regional and market architecture strategy for North America, ensuring alignment with the business and D&T strategies. 
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders, including business leaders, D&T Regional Director, Enterprise Architects and Value Streams, to understand business needs. 
  • Partnering with the business and Regional D&T team to define the region and markets’ current level of maturity according to Diageo’s global process taxonomy, and update roadmaps to accordingly 
  • Collaborating with the Solution Architects to ensure solution designs for the region and markets are aligned with the roadmaps. 
  • Maintaining a documented view of the regional and market as-is architectures and roadmaps to facilitate communication and decision-making. 
  • Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of the regional enterprise architecture, using KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and continuous optimization. 
  • Participating in the architecture governance process. 
  • Driving opportunities for reuse and simplification in the region and markets. 

 

Skills Required: 

  • 8+ years demonstrated expertise in enterprise architecture, IT strategy development and solution design, preferably in a global or regional capacity at an FMCG 
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology solutions, data management and infrastructure technologies. 
  • Strong knowledge of business process modelling techniques and experience in optimizing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Proven experience with architecting, designing and implementing large scale cloud-based solutions. 
  • A proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships with stakeholders in various departments and geographies. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and business processes to diverse audiences and facilitate consensus-building across stakeholders. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, technology trends and regional/market requirements while maintaining a consistent architectural vision. 
  • Knowledge of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF is preferred 

 

Education 

  • Hold at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT or Computer Science or a related field
